The Group’s affiliated nonprofit, Elephants, Rhinos & People (ERP) launches its fifth overall learnership intake since the program’s inception, for the Barokologadi community, ERP’s partner in the Melorane Private Game Reserve.
In early September ERP South Africa took in 60 new students for the Computing Learnership Program being run for the Barokologadi Community Property Association. Primary support for the program comes from Group business EPI-USE Africa. All students and staff are members of the Barokologadi community.
The induction ceremony was attended by the Chief of the Barokologadi Community, Honorable Kgosikgolo Thari Maotoe, together with the Royal Council. Parents signed a pledge of support, highlighting the shared responsibility among families, community leaders and ERP, in ensuring the success of the 12-month program.
Beyond its educational mission, the learnership center operates as a profitable enterprise for the BCPA, providing immediate developmental value while also contributing to the community’s long-term economic sustainability.
